Indian Strings sound check already sounding good. Venue - Ambleside Parish Centre - is an excellent choice even in the Lake District rain.

A fantastic concert in a lovely venue. It is great to hear this music up here - makes a nice change from the usual classical, folk or jazz. Moving up from Manchester, I rather miss the cultural diversity and this series of concerts is very welcome. Indian music is not only an aural experience but a visual one too - the audience can share the joy of the musicians as they improvise and pass passages between them. Brilliant and more in future please!

This was one of the most spell-binding concerts I have ever had the pleasure to experience.

Both Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya and Anuradha Pal were new to me, and their virtuoso performances will stay with me for a very long time. This is Indian music at its best,

and these two well-matched musicians are its best ambassadors.
